I highlighted my hair!♡

If you've read my previous posts you will know I recently dyed my hair from a bright red to a dark brown and that I was planning to take my hair to a caramel blonde colour gradually... Well I have begun phase one of lightening and got a full head of bleach foils done to lighten my brown hair.
The process...
The results!

The bleach lifted me to a light brown with golden pieces which I love!  I think after one more session of highlights I will be finished with my hair and i'll hopefully be a lovely Jennifer Aniston inspired caramel blonde :)

Outfit of the night ♡

Last night I was at an 18th birthday party, this is what I wore! :)
Studded bralet - Topshop
Asymmetric hem skirt - Ebay
Ring & Bracelet - Kukee

I had some lush shoes on but they didn't make it into the shot! :(

The clock is ticking for my own impending 18th birthday, and my birthday wishlist seems to be containing a vast amount of shoes...

Lots of love,

What she bought... ♡

Okay before I even get into what I bought, i'd like for you to take a minute to appreciate the tackyness of my nails... Can't go wrong with some cheeky glitter!

So I picked up a few things...
Primark studded flats £10
Primark studded clutch £6
Primark argan oil £2 (i think)
River island bobble hat £12
Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner (Was under £2, can't really remember!)

Can you tell i'm fond of Primark?..and studs? I'm trying to restrict my shopping these days as I should be saving up for December, as it is a very expensive time seeing as it's christmas AND my 18th but every month my paycheck comes in I get this little voice in my head telling me that I NEED more shoes or need more makeup.. In reality I have enough to sink a ship.

Lots of love,

Kukee Jewellery! ♡

So I recently stumbled upon an absolute gem of a website, a handmade jewellery company called Kukee

This is a UK based website that sells some gorgeous pieces for a ridiculously good price!  I'm a huge fan of high street jewellery however places like Topshop charge so much for their stuff and realistically I'm not going to splash out £10 on a ring!

This is why I was so thrilled to find a website that sells such lovely stuff, but also charge within my price range! :)

My whole order in total came to under £30 which to me is an absolute bargain considering how much stuff I picked up!

The quality of the jewellery is amazing for the price, and everything came wrapped in lovely pink tissue  paper.  (i'm a sucker for pretty packaging)

I'd definitely recommend this website because of its great quality, fast shipping and really unique pieces and I will definitely be ordering again!

Kate Moss Lipstick

I recently picked up one of the lipsticks from Kate Moss's new collection for Rimmel and I have to say I am very impressed!

I chose the colour 22, a very bright pinkish red
Really pigmented, moisturising, long lasting and affordable! (under £6!)
I have about 6 different red lipsticks ranging from high end to very cheap drugstore and this particular lipstick is definitely my new favourite, mainly because it's so bright and gets a lot of attention!

I am a huge red lip fan and would love to discover some more lovely lipsticks so if anyone has any to recommend me I would be eternally grateful!

Lots of love

From Red to Brunette

Today I did something brave... I traded in my long bright red hair for some slightly shorter, chocolatey brown hair!

I've had red hair for about 8 months and as much as I adore being a redhead, it is a notoriously difficult colour to maintain and live with, requiring regular colour touch ups after the colour fades every month, and I had also lost patience with the constant staining of my shower, skin, clothes and bedding with the red dye.

I've had some bad DIY hair dying experiences so I booked myself into a salon so there would be less of a risk of it going wrong!

The first process was to bleach out some of the red colour...

This turned me a horrendous neon orangey/salmon/pinky/red colour as you can see..

The brown hair dye was then applied..

And.... voila!
A nice chocolatey brown :)  The reason I went through the bleaching process first and didn't just dye it brown straight away was because I am planning to eventually go a caramel blonde colour, and I needed to remove some of the red before I could ever attempt to go blonde.

The overal process took about 4 hours and cost a fair amount of money but I feel it was worth it as I really had become frustrated with my faded red hair and a colour like brown is far easier to maintain.

Hope this post shines some light on the process involved in removing red hair dye!
